EFSIS/FABBL is uniquely placed to provide end-to-end assurance for all farm enterprises, including dairy.
The NDFAS was developed by The NFU, The Federation of Milk Groups, The Dairy Industry Association and The British Cattle Veterinary Association. It addresses the issues within the milk supply chain and reassures customers that correct standards are being achieved.
The Scheme covers standards applicable to the complete on farm milk production process, from hygiene and food safety, housing and facilities, plant and equipment to herd health and stockmanship. Currently, there are approximately 17500 farms operating to these Standards through 28 First Purchaser members of the NDFAS.
EFSIS has a team of experienced inspectors with specific expertise in the dairy industry. Their technical expertise also comes from EFSIS' links with Campden and Chorleywood Food Research Association, ensuring that the company is well placed to certify against the Standards set by the NDFAS.
