The ABM transport standards are designed to complement livestock farm assurance standards and ensure that the standards of animal welfare and traceability of assured animals remain continuous throughout the assurance chain. Farmers' own transport is covered under the ABM Beef and Lamb Farm Standards or the Assured British Pigs Standards as appropriate.
Participation in the ABM Livestock Transport scheme allows hauliers to demonstrate their commitment to ensuring the safe, compassionate transport of animals.
