The certification scheme offered by EFSIS provides an independent verification of a company's Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) system.

Our specialists will audit the system and certification will be awarded if:

• the HACCP system has been based on internationally agreed principles as described by FAO/WHO Codex Alimentarius Commission and exemplified in CCFRA's Technical Manual No.38, “HACCP: A Practical Guide”, and
• procedures, practices and records associated with the critical control points are in place.

If there are modifications which must be made before the issue of a certificate, these will be reported on and a clearance date and method agreed.

The certificate specifies the product/line/area covered by the HACCP system and is valid for one year. Re-assessment or extension to the period covered by the certificate is determined by the scheme manager, based on any changes to the system or a requirement to extend the scope.
